  148. The disks in the table below contain clip art in Encapsulated PostScript
  149. format, in PCX format, in WordPerfect 5.0 format, and in Corel Draw format.
  150. The clip art on disks 1709+ and 1823+ are still available, but are generally
  151. of a much lower quality or lower resolution. If you are not using a laser
  152. printer, you may still find those files to be quite acceptable.

  154. The EPS format results in the highest quality pictures. They require a
  155. PostScript printer or a program (such as GoScript) that will print PostScript
  156. files on non-PostScript printers. PostScript files may be imported into major
  157. desktop publishing programs such as Ventura.
  158.  
  159. The PCX files are stored in full-page 300 dpi resolution. PCX art files can be
  160. imported into virtually all desktop publishing and graphics programs. In
  161. bit-mapped graphics such as the PCX format, loss of resolution occurs when
  162. small images are enlarged. By starting with full-page size, you can scale down
  163. the images to smaller sizes with little or no loss in resolution. While there
  164. are many disks of PCX files available, only a minority of them are
  165. high-quality, high-resolution, general-purpose art work.
  166.  
  167. NOTICE: Users of Publish It! should be aware that PI! is not able to import
  168. many of these PCX files. This is a known limitation of PI! and one which
  169. Timeworks expects to correct in their next release. An alternative is that
  170. Timeworks sells a graphics file conversion utility for about $15.
  171.  
  172. The WP5 files are ready for loading directly into WordPerfect version 5.0 and
  173. later. The CDR files are necessary for Corel Draw users because Corel cannot
  174. read the very same EPS files that it has exported. (Corel was used to create
  175. or clean up many of the EPS files.)
